Nancy Elise Bartlett Traylor, born 12 September, 1932 in Sardis, Alabama, died 6 January 2018 in Huntsville AL where she resided for the last 2 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John Wendell Traylor. She is survived by her son John Traylor, Huntsville and his wife Katherine, and daughter Jill LeBlanc of New Orleans. She had 7 Grandchildren, Elise Nechtman, Sara Traylor, Laura LeBlanc, Philip Traylor, Rachel Traylor, Dwight LeBlanc, and Anna Traylor, of North Carolina, Huntsville, and New Orleans.

Nancy Elise Bartlett Traylor, born 12 September, 1932 in Sardis, Alabama, died 6 January 2018 in Huntsville AL where she resided for the last 2 years. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents Dewey Henry Bartlett and Minnie Bartlett of Boaz, AL and survived by her brother Shelton Bartlett of Atlanta. She was preceded in death by her sisters Grace Whitt and Joyce Milwee, and brother Alton Bartlett. She had numerous nieces and nephews.
Nancy taught business classes - typing and shorthand for many years at high schools in Gadsden, AL, retiring from Gadsden High School in 1986. She enjoyed summers with Wendell on the river in Center, AL, as well as traveling to many parts of the world and all over the United States on significant vacations. She had numerous friends with whom she kept close, playing cards and shopping and visiting grandchildren. She was a blessing to many through the years, and was active in her church - Bellevue Baptist Church, up until the time that she became ill with dementia and Alzheimer's.
Throughout her illness she kept a level temperament, and was never demanding of care from her wonderful caregivers both at Meadowood in Glencoe AL, and most recently at South Hampton in Owens Cross Roads.
The funeral will be on Friday, 12 January at 2:00 at Bellevue Baptist Church, with visitation before at 12:30.
